Rams are put through a vigorous selection process before they become available to potential buyers.

Final selection is made in early December and Rams are sold by private treaty from the first Tuesday of the new year. Ram hoggets are also available from the first week of March.

All sale rams are ranked according to Overall performance index, this collates NZ maternal worth, FE, worm resistance, dag score and body condition score. All rams are then sold in their perspective ranks 1-50, 51-100, 101-200, 201-300 and priced accordingly.
